Kim & Devan | Married | St. Claude, Manitoba

Kim and Devan's wedding was so sweet. The ceremony took place right in her parents yard, it was absolutely gorgeous. There were many moments that made the day extra special. Kim's aunt married them and this made the ceremony intimate and eventful. Kim asked her grandmother to recite the scripture 'Love is patient, love is kind'. This was also read at my wedding and is one of my absolute favourites.

After the ceremony and family photos we snuck off to take portraits. These were also all taken on her parents property. Afterwards they had dinner set up in the shop and everything was very relaxed and casual. All the guests throughly enjoyed the evening. It was also extra lucky that the weather was beautiful and the rain stayed away.

Kallie & Matt | Married | Club Regent Canad Inns, Winnipeg, Manitoba

Kallie & Matt were married in May. Their wedding day was nothing less than perfect. Kallie and the girls had a suite in the hotel to get ready in while the men were at Matt's parents place. The bride and groom first saw each other when Kallie was walked down the isle by her step father. Portraits were done in a nearby park after the ceremony and we all made it back just in time for cocktail hour.

Kallie and Matt make such a sweet couple. Some things from their wedding day that I loved were Kallie eating chicken fingers and fries while the rest of us enjoyed a fancy served meal. Kallie and her best friend Lindsey, those two honestly have a friendship that could move mountains. Last but not least, I loved how emotional the wedding was due to the fact that Kallie is originally from Texas and shortly after the wedding her family would have to leave. This made many moments during the day bittersweet.

Thank you Kallie and Matt for having me at your wedding, I can't wait to capture more photos of you soon!

Josh & Jacqueline | Trash the Dress | Lover's Beach, Cabo San Lucas

Two days after Josh and Jacqueline's wedding we took trash the dress photos! For us to take these photos is was quite the adventure. Because we couldn't swim in the water directly in front of our resort we had to pack everything up, taxi into town, then take a water taxi to Lovers Beach. Getting off the water taxi once arriving at Lovers Beach is a task in itself. The gentlemen there to help were very good at keeping the wedding dress, my camera, and our other belongings safe from the water. Oh yeah and this adventure started at about nine in the morning.

The irony of all this is that we actually didn't take the photos on Lovers Beach because it was already too crowed with other people. We walked to the other side to take the photos and this location is called Divorce Beach. The names simply have to do with the water currents. Lovers beach is calm and inviting, Divorce Beach is wild and unruly.

Josh and Jacquline were such troopers through this whole shoot. I would say it was more than worth it! These have got to be some of my favourite photos I've ever taken.

A special shout out to Jacquline's Maid of Honour, Naomi and Josh's Best Man, Pierre for coming with us to take the photos and being a huge help along the way.
